Conditions of transportation of perishable goods

The specifics of the transportation of perishable goods consist in the necessity of mandatory compliance with the temperature regime. To deliver such goods, transport with refrigeration units is usually chosen. There are the following modes of transportation of perishable goods:

Product Product
Frozen products Below -6°C
Chilled products From -5 to - 1°C
Cooled products From 0 to +5°C
Transportation of perishable goods is carried out by various modes of transport. This can be a railroad train, motor transport, air or sea delivery method. Special thermally insulated or refrigerated containers and special boxes are used in airplanes and on ships. Refrigerated trucks are chosen for transportation by motor transport, refrigerated wagons are used for rail transportation.

The refrigerator maintains the desired temperature throughout the route, adjusts temperature indicators if necessary, if it is required to defrost or freeze the goods. The container, box, body or rail car must necessarily be clean, dry, without pungent odors. The goods are placed in a special crate, pallet or box and securely fixed. Frozen and fresh food must not be transported together!

The goods are checked, sanitized and documented before shipment. There must be the appropriate invoices, quality certificates and other documents for the goods. This will ensure the safety of the transported goods and guarantee clearance by customs authorities.

Experts of Arbalet-NM will provide qualified assistance in preparing the goods for shipment.
